Admission Requirements
To enter PUIC courses students must meet both the Academic and English language requirements.
General
PUIC will consider applicants for admission once an Application form has been completed and submitted with evidence of qualifications and English ability. If the applicant is eligible for entry, then PUIC will provide verified PUIC and Plymouth University admission documentation as follows:
- An Offer of Admission to the chosen academic pathway.
You will find the normal academic entry criteria below.
The admission requirements listed provide a general guide for entry to pathways at various stages. PUIC promotes a personalised study plan for students based on their prior learning background. Our Admission Office considers each application individually and will make an offer specific to the student profile and desired area of study.
If you are in doubt as to whether your qualifications and learning background would be considered for entry, we encourage you to contact us or one of our representatives in your country. Better still, complete and submit an Application form to us so that we can assess it and get back to you.

Please note that there is NO application fee.
The language of instruction at PUIC is English. To attain entry into the undergraduate or postgraduate pathway, you must be able to demonstrate you have a suitable level of English proficiency. You can do this by obtaining one of the results shown in the table below.

Please note that where appropriate (i.e. have obtained the relevant score) PUIC will continue to exempt the need for IELTS/TOEFL/PTE from students who have taken local examinations in English such as WAEC, KSCE, ICSE, HKDSE, A-level, IB, SPM and so on and to exempt students who can demonstrate where they have been taught through the medium of English.
